RESOLUTION
Islamabad, the 18th May: 2008
No. 13(2)/2008-TTFP (NTTFC). The Government of Pakistan have constituted a Standing Committee with the name of National Trade & Transport Facilitation Committee (NTTFC) on Pakistan Trade & Transport Facilitation Project under the chairmanship of Secretary/Additional Secretary Commerce. The Committee will meet quarterly. The Committee consists of the representatives of the following Organizations:

- Ministry of Industries

The Committee may co-opt any other Organization on a need basis.
Observer status is extended to International financial institutions and technical assistance bodies supporting trade and transport facilitation in Pakistan, including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme, European Commission, the UK Department for International Development, etc.
Terms of Reference
- Continuous review of the trade and transport procedures and system with a view to update their simplification and harmonization.
- Undertake coordination of efforts of concerned organizations in the field of facilitation of international trade and transport.
- Collect and disseminate information on international trade and transport formalities, procedures, documentation and related matters.
- Pursue the simplification and alignment of trade and transport documents on the basis of the Untied Nations Layout Key, including documents designed for use in computer and other automated systems.
- Promote the adoption of standard trade and transport terminology and international codes for trade and transport information.
- Promote training and research in international trade and transport and upgrade common knowledge of the trade and international practices.
Secretariat
The Secretariat of the Committee is located in Karachi with an Executive Secretary to conduct NTTFC affairs.
The affairs of the NTTFC are managed by a Board of Directors comprising the following, which shall meet at least twice a year to provide vision, approve the work plan, approve the budget and review the performance of NTTFC:
